BSG Webinar: Patient Safety & Serious Incidents - How to handle and learn from them

21-01-2025 @ 18:00 - 21-01-2025 @ 19:00

Online

When we assume responsibility for a patient’s care, it can be unexpected and distressing to receive a complaint about that care. Learning that the care provided has led to a serious incident under investigation can heighten feelings of anxiety. Such complaints often feel shrouded in confidentiality, making open discussion difficult and leaving individuals feeling isolated. In these circumstances, it is natural to feel defensive, demoralised, or even depressed.

This webinar aims to offer practical advice for managing these situations, along with an overview of the governance and frameworks that support them.
