The BSG is proud to co-own three journals. Gut is one of the world’s highest-ranked gastroenterology journals, by citation-related impact factor, and the Society’s oldest title. Frontline Gastroenterology focuses on clinical aspects of gastroenterology. The newest addition to the portfolio is the open-access journal Open Gastroenterology. The Society regularly produces guidelines on aspects of contemporary practice.

Gut

Gut is a leading international peer-reviewed journal in gastroenterology and hepatology, with an established reputation for publishing first class clinical research of the alimentary tract, liver, biliary tree and pancreas. Gut has an impact factor of 23, ranking 5th in the JCR Gastroenterology & Hepatology category. It has a CiteScore of 45.7, ranking 3rd in the Gastroenterology category.

Frontline Gastroenterology

Frontline Gastroenterology (FG) aims to accelerate the adoption of best practice in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. It is multidisciplinary and focuses on the needs of patients and the professionals caring for them. FG is a subscription journal, but if BSG members wish to publish their paper open access in the journal they benefit from a 50% discount on the article publishing charge.

Open Gastroenterology

Open Gastroenterology is an online-only, peer-reviewed, open access gastroenterology journal, dedicated to publishing high-quality medical research from all disciplines and therapeutic areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. BSG members receive a 30% discount on the publishing charge for papers accepted for publishing.

Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics
