This 2 day event will aim to explore all the non technical and technical aspects of complications. This will appeal to everyone. We will have a wide range of faculty including patients, diverse group of professionals, lawyers, and Coroner. This event will take place from the 6th-7th February 2025 at Etruria Hal Stoke-on-Trent.
Discussing complications is essential for informed decision making, and it contributes to a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Open discussions about complications build trust between professionals and patients.
The aims of the symposium are:
To understand the psychosocial impact of complications on patients, family, endoscopists and wider team
To understand the clinical governance aspects of complications, and the ethical and legal implications.
To explore the factors contributing to complications, and ways to manage your own emotions.
To develop strategies to avoid or minimise complications, and demonstrate therapeutic measures of dealing with them.

This event shall also provide an RCP CPD Accreditation of 12 CPD points.
