Travel Bursaries
The BSG is delighted to offer a range of bursaries for our events to trainees, nurses, undergraduates, and overseas delegates who may financially struggle to attend.
The BSG Education Committee invites BSG members including nurses, trainees, and undergraduates in any area of gastroenterology to apply for 1 of 40 travel bursaries. Of the 40, 20 are available to undergraduates with the rest reserved for nurses and trainees.
Annual Meeting Research Abstract Bursary
The BSG Research Committee is offering 10 travel bursaries for delegates who would find it financially difficult to attend BSG LIVE'24 to present their accepted abstract(s), available to trainees, nurses/AHPs, and overseas delegates.
BSG Trainees Taster Course Bursary
The BSG is delighted to offer 10 travel bursaries to attend the BSG Trainees Taster Course. These are available to both medical students and junior doctors. Each bursary of up to £350 is intended to reimburse the costs of registration, travel, and/or accommodation.
Undergraduate Elective Bursary
An elective period of study can be the highlight of a medical student’s study and can bring enormous benefits for a successful future career in your chosen specialty. The BSG is delighted to be able to offer a number of bursaries of up to £500 each, recognising that undertaking an elective has additional costs for the student.
