Call for World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) nominations


The World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) is seeking nominations for members to join a number of committees from 2026.

These committees are:

  1. Climate Change Committee
  2. Education Committee
  3. Endoscopy Committee
  4. Finance Committee
  5. Hepatology Committee
  6. IBD Committee
  7. Nominations Committee
  8. Media and Community Engagement Committee
  9. Train the Trainers Committee (applicants must have attended a TTT in order to be considered for this committee)
  10. Young Members Committee (applicants must be under the age of 45)

Serving on a committee offers a great opportunity to impact the future of WGO in a meaningful way!

Established in 1958, WGO is a federation of 119 gastroenterology and hepatology member societies and four regional associations (AMAGE, APAGE, OPGE and UEG) representing over 60,000 individual members worldwide. WGO focuses on improving education and training standards in gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and other related disciplines globally.

If you are interested in being nominated by the BSG for these roles, please fill out the form below by 5pm on 21st February 2025. Your nomination will then be considered by a panel and you will be informed of the outcome by 3rd March 2025.
