New Guts UK Grants Rounds - now open for applications


Please see Guts UK's current grant opportunities listed below:

  • Guts UK/BSG Trainee Research Awards - Guts UK/BSG Trainee Research Awards are for UK-based gastroenterology and allied Specialty Trainees (who hold a National Training Number) who would like to conduct research or audit/quality improvement (QI) in any area of gastroenterology (including pancreatology and hepatology) or nutrition in relation to gastroenterology.
  • Guts UK Development Grants – Early career researchers - These development grants are aimed at early career researchers not yet in a substantive position or within three years of appointment to a substantive academic post. Allowance will be made for applicants whose career has been subject to an interruption for family or personal reasons. These grants are for translational or proof of concept research in any area of gastroenterology (including pancreatology and hepatology).
  • Guts UK Amelie Waring PhD Studentship - The Guts UK Amelie Waring PhD Studentship is aimed at research into any aspect of pancreatic inflammation or injury. One PhD Studentship of up to £120,000 is available.
  • Guts UK Derek Butler Fellowship  - The Guts UK Derek Butler Fellowship is for research in upper gastrointestinal tract diseases and conditions. One Fellowship of up to £250,000 is available.
