BSG New Consultants Advisory Group

The BSG New Consultants Advisory Group meet quarterly and aims to develop resources to smooth and support the transition from trainee to new consultant. 


Applications are now open for registrars in their final 2 years of training and consultants within 5 years of CCT from the following regions to join the Group as regional representatives:

  • North West Thames (London)
  • North East Thames (London)
  • South West Thames (London)
  • KSS (Kent, Surrey and Sussex)
  • Wessex
  • Severn/South West
  • Peninsula
  • Oxford
  • East of England
  • West Midlands
  • East Midlands
  • North West
  • Mersey
  • Northern
  • Yorkshire and Humber
  • Wales
  • West of Scotland
  • East of Scotland
  • Northern Ireland
The term of the role is 2 years. 

If you’re a BSG member and interested in joining the Group as a regional representative, please fill out the form below, including a short (max. 500 words) supporting statement outlining why you'd like to join and what you'd bring to the group.

Alcohol Health Alliance urges action on alcohol-related deaths

Alcohol-related harm continues to place significant pressure on the healthcare system, with nearly 1 million hospital admissions each year linked to alcohol, costing the NHS £4.91 billion annually.
